How did I end up visiting Mallorca?

After returning from Summer break to the campus, I exchanged my summer experience with a buddy. Both of us seem to not having enough Summer sun. After few glasses of wine, we started to suggest to visit to Islands where sun is still shining and weather still warm. Gran Canaria was the first suggestion from me, but he has been there before. Then he suggested Mallorca. It took only 5 seconds for me to be captivated, all by the Images of Mallorca in Google. The next thing I did, checked for the long break. The closest was in early October, with 4 days in a row. I started to plan the itinerary, and bought my ticket 3 weeks before the trip. My buddy? He was too tired to travel, and here I went, a solo trip to Mallorca.

The trip highlights

After countless stays in AirBnb accommodations, I have decided to treat myself with a posh full boarding accommodation in Mallorca during the off-peak season. 

Summer was already over in October, but Mallorca was still warm and Sunny. The young would generally opt to stay in the city of Palma (close to Airport), where parties are plenty. Not so young I am, I decided to base in the city of Pollencia at the North-eastern of the Island.

My transports, accommodation, and F&B

• Intercity transportation (Paris-Palma-Paris): Transavia Airline 
• Transportation in Mallorca: A hybrid Toyota Yaris (Automatic transmission) by Wiber company through www.rentalcars.com . The Wiber rental car yard is located few kilometers away from Airport, and it arranges pick up to and from the airport. 
• Accommodation: Hoposa Uyal, Pollencia
• F&B: Buffer breakfast and 3 course Dinner by the Hotel. I had my lunch on the go, as my stay in the Island was short.
• Beer at night: Palms Bar at Carrer del Bot. This bar hosts many cyclist. At some nights, they have live singer/band. 

My 3 Plus and 2 Minus:-

3 things I like about this trip:

1. It is off peak season, I got the Full boarding 4 stars hotel (Hoposa Uyal) at a very attractive price. The full boarding was great! The SPA was great! The overall experience splendid!
2. The rental car was very affordable, even when I was travelling solo.
3. The cliff and the ocean form spectacular views.

   3. Mirador el colomer (The viewpoint)
   4. Top beach  

2 thing I would do differently if I can turn back the clock: 

1. Plan and buy flight ticket way in advance. I got my return ticket for Euro208. If bought earlier, it is possible to get it around Euro100. 
2. Plan at least 5-7 solid days to explore the Island. The 2 solid days I have, was just enough for the north and east regions of the Mallorca.
